OK, I guess I have to publish it over here as well. I am in the middle of my summer sale time. Prices are very low and on ALL items. The sale will go on until beginning of August, when me and my two kids are (finally) going to visit my family in Slovenia. I can't wait.

Kljub temu, da se o tem dere že vsak vrabec tu naokrog, pod Alpami in čez lužo (= emfazična hiperbola), moram nekako objaviti tudi tule. Moja Pikula je sredi poletnih razprodaj! Cene so nizke in popust velja na vse torbe, torbice, torbičke, denarnice, denarničke, etuije, slive (pa ne tiste iz drevja), klače in podobne strvari, ki lahko nosijo druge stvari. Popusti veljajo do začetka avgusta, ko se z Miko in Jončatam odpravljam v domovino. Komaj čakam.
In drage moje, prinašam (tudi) kovček torbic.

tirza

I am still all enchanted by the naive art of Tirza and by herself. Last weekend was an open artists' houses event when on Friday I opened my studio for the first time and on Saturday I was a guest at Tirza's studio. The event was totally amazing. Didn't expect so many people coming, sitting for a coffee and chatting, being truly interested in the smallest details and walking away with a bag or purse that they carefully chose.
Tirza gave me lots of fresh energies and I got this one. You all know why I chose it, right?

Še vedno sem popolnoma očarana nad deli Tirze in nad njo osebno. Prejšnji vikend smo imeli tu v Kfar Sabi vikend, ko umetniki in kreativci odprejo svoja vrata publiki. V petek sem jih prvič odprla tudi sama in v soboto sem imela čast biti gostja v studiu Tirze. Dogodek je bil čudovit. Nisem pričakovala takšnega števila ljudi, pa tudi tega ne, da si bodo vzeli čas, popili kavico in poklepetali s polnim zanimanjem za detajle in odkorakali do naslednjih vrat s torbico, ki so jo tako zelo natančno izbrali. Tirza mi je dala veliko vetra v krila in tole je moja nova družba v stanovanju. Vsi veste zakaj sem izbrala prav to, kajne?

rosh hashana

I'm having a holiday sale in Sde Warburg, the moshav we used to live in a few years ago. I know it's just for you Israeli readers this time, but who knows, maybe some Slovene will come as well (it did happened to Jul that some of my blog's readers from Slovenia came into her studio this summer...whoohaa, what a success!).
Anyhow I am preparing some new designs and having summer's stock on a very nice discount.
In the meanwhile I am preparing some photos from our trip to the Golan heights and of course some new surprises for the new year.

Pikula and JUL

I promised to tell you about the little project Julia and I were cooking some time ago. Here is a little sneak peek into the work process of our limited purse and bag line, that will be launched next Friday (25.5.2012) in Jul's studio in Tel Aviv! I am so excited, and the fabrics that Julia chose for this project are so fresh and yes, it's a totally different input into Pikula's creations. Next week you will see them all.

Pred casom sem omenila, da imava Julija in jaz za bregom en mali skupni projekt. Nova, omejena linija torbic, Pikula in JUL, bo prvic predstavljena v petek 25.5.2012 v studiu Jul v Tel Avivu.
Julijina izbira blaga je popolna svezina in novost za Pikulino dosedanje delo, meni pa so kajpada se posebej vsec konjeniske.

valley in style

It was a misty early morning when I drove up north to the sale I was so much waiting for. The event took place in a kibbutz not so far away from Nazareth. In a surprisingly beautiful hall there we were...50 designers, great atmosphere, music, new people, good snacks and hungry customers.
I got to meet the girls from Medusa (you HAVE to see their amazing designs), and could't stop looking at one of my favourite Jul's dresses; she was just visiting Milano a few weeks ago and brought lots of amazing fabrics that still need to be seen.
Pikula was selling mostly large bags, I was busy and the camera was resting for large periods of time. Which is also a good sign ;)

Zgodaj zjutraj sem se zapeljala proti severu. V kibuc blizu mesta Nazaret kjer se je danes ves dan odvijal tako tezko cakani sejem. Ob vstopu v nepricakovano lepo urejen prostor mi je zastal dih; 50 oblikovalcev (vecinoma se vedno nakita), super ozracje, fina glasba, novi lepi ljudje (ce odstejem nekatere pretirano nalispane gospodicne z neoblikovanim obcutkom za  kolicino ovesenega nakita), prigrizki in nakupa zeljni obiskovalci.
Spoznala sem lastnici znamke MeDusa (obvezno) in se nisem morala nagledati nove kolekcije Jul (in seveda ene izmed njenih mojih najljubsih oblekic). Julia je bila pred nekaj tedni spet v Milanu in prinesla novo blago!   Komaj cakam.
Pikula je prodajala vecinoma velike torbe, bila sem zaposlena in vidi se, da je fotoaparat veliko pocival pod mizo. Hihi... v tem primeru dober znak ;)

Preparations

I am sitting in my work room for hours. Making big mess and still not worrying about how will I clean it up afterwards. I have two big sales in the coming weekends and eager to prepare as much as I can. There will be lots of new items! Ure in ure sedim v delovni sobi in sivam in razmetujem in premetavam in tla so polna niti in ostankov blaga, ki jih vlecem za sabo tudi v dnevno sobo in kuhinjo. Pripravljam se za dva velika sejma in ob vsem direndaju poizkusam skonstruirati cimvec kvalitetnih novosti. Vem, Izrael je dalec in karte so drage...obljubim, da bom veliko slikala in vam prinesla drobec vtisov semkaj. ;)

Fabric and Florentin

Lotta Jansdotter, a Swedish designer, every time captures my look. Her work is so clean and organic. The new Echo fabric collection is out for preordering; maybe it's time for Pikula to get a bit more Scandinavian ;) Lotta has also some great books, I bought this one and keep on opening it.

I'm after a very nice 2 day sale in Tel Aviv. I met a lot of great people and got some Florentin air back into my soul. These are some of the pics I took with my iPhone; forgot to bring my camera :(

Ben Shemen sale

It was a beautiful summer evening. The sale's organizer, Karen Shavit once again made it to the top. The sale took place in a beautiful moshav of Ben Shemen in a magical place: The house of Iris Barnea.
Pikula was there. And my stand got nearly emptied. The best candy was definitelly Pikula's iPhone case.
