embroidery collection

... plus of course many hours of work and a pretty good and meticulous eyesight is what Tal needs to make this beautiful embroidery works. 

I met Tal one winter day, when she came to visit me in my studio. She brought her beautiful embroidery works and there was no question about starting to plan a project together. After thinking, planning and drawing, a small, limited collection of embroidered purses came out. A few of the purses are floral, inspired by Japanese embroidery, the others feature some of this seasons favorite symbols, such as flamingo and a spiky cactus and of course - a horse. 

All the purses are made out of natural fabrics, mostly linen. They are in a perfect size to fit your most cherished belongings, they fit a smartphone as well. Each purse has an option for a strap that can be detached or tucked in the inside of the bag when not needed.

Tal is an amazing embroiderer, she is making very elaborate works that many times remind of Indian embroidery and mandalas, she also sews colorful quilts and by the sparkle in her eyes you can see immediately how much she loves what she does. פגשתי את טל כשבאה לבקר אצלי בסטודיו ביום חורפי אחד. היא הביאה איתה כמה דוגמאות של עבודות הרקמה שלה..ברגע שראיתי אותן לא היה ספק ששיתוף פעולה בנינו הוא רק עניין של זמן. אז ישבנו יחד..חשבנו, תכננו, ציירנו והנה זה לפניכם -  אוסף קטן וייחודי של ארנקי קלאצ' ברקמת יד!

הארנקים עשויים מחומרים טבעיים ובעיקר מבד פשתן. הגודל מתאים בדיוק לכל הדברים החשובים כשיוצאים מהבית. יש מספיק מקום גם לטלפון הנייד. לכל ארנק ניתן לחבר רצועה ולשאת כתיק צד קטן.

the geometric clutch

I love this geometric clutch. It is made out of strong canvas fabrics and with a cool addition of a cotton printed fabric. It even has a canvas strap to it so you can wear it across your body.
It's cold here in Israel (well...if you can call this cold comparing to my home back in Slovenia) so looking at this photo and remembering how hot it was when we took it, well it kind of makes me warmer. Happy december you all!

Tale geometricna torbica je super fina, ker je sesita iz mocnega platna in ima lep dodatek potiskanega trikotnika. Pa se pasek ima; tako lahko torbico nosis pocez ali samo na eno ramo. Tu pri nas je koncno "pritisnila" zima...ce dvanajstim stopinjam cez dan lahko tako recem v primerjavi z zimami v Sloveniji. Ko gledam tole fotografijo in se spomnim kako zelo vroce je bilo, ko smo jo posneli (beri - moja majica je na hrbtu popolnoma premocena), me kar fino pogreje. Lep december vsem skupaj doma!

Holidays are knocking on the door already! I decided to cut off all the shipping costs in both of my shops for all the items and of course worldwide! here.
I am running a few new workshops that are dealing more with general sewing. One of the projects that we are doing is also soft toys making. It is so nice to come back to this. I love the way it makes you be totally creative and do whatever you want. The sleeping bear friend is for my Mika.

I made a small collection of purses for girls. My daughter loves them! They are a perfect fit for a phone, a key and a 20 shekels bill (or a few euro coins). Each of them has a fabric strap that can be tucked inside the purse when not in use. You can see more details here.

Here they are, the stars. For a long time I wanted to create a collection that would be very functional and in colors that are calmer and in the same time popping out. All the stars (except the ones on the grey starred draw string bag) are hand stenciled with quality fabric colors.
All the items are made with sturdy canvases in grey and off white color.

updates

As written already, I am back. I had a wonderful summer. Family, friends, new people, beautiful life-essential nature, nostalgic music, good old Croatian sea and mainly, chilling down. Living slow and feeling strongly.
The photos above were taken before the summer, on a forgotten yard of an old house in one of the villages in the area where I live. It was a soft afternoon, gently lit by the evening sunlight. I think you can see from my face how much I enjoyed the whole scene and how good the connection with the photographer was right there. Zohar Sierra is a photographer that kind of found me somewhere and wanted to take pics of my bags for a little barter. I immediately fell in love with her.
We made a whole series of photos, you will get to see them drop by drop in the future posts. One of the clutches I most love right now is this new deer clutch.

Kot ze napisano prejsnji teden...nazaj sem. Poletje je bilo cudovito. Druzina, prijatelji, nova poznanstva, neopisljivo lepa slovenska narava, dobra glasba, stari dobri hrvaski otoki in predvsem, mir. ziveti pocasi in obcutiti s celim srcem.
Fotografije so bile posnete se pred poletjem. Na pozabljenem dvoriscu stare hise v vasi nedlec stran od nasega doma. Bilo je eno tistih mehkih popoldnevov, nezno obsijanih z vecerno svetlobico. Mislim, da se mi vidi z obraza kako zelo se pocutim domace pod ogromnimi pekanovimi drevesi in kako fino sva se ujeli s fotografinjo. Zohar Sierra me je nasla nekje in zelela poslikati moje izdelke v zameno za torbico ali dve. V trenutku sem se zaljubila vanjo in mislim, da se zgodba se nadaljuje.
V parih urah je nastalo cel kup fotografij; pocasi, pocasi jih nakapljam semle. Danes razkrivam Pikulinino novo jelenasto torbico, ki mi je tako zelo ljuba.

Dve obvestilci:
Jutri bom na instagramu oddala en izdelek. En klik ali dva, mogoce bo tvoj.

V studiu se mi je nabralo veliko testnih torbic in nekaj torb iz prejsnjih sezon. Odlocila sem se, da naredim eno tako sample sale na internetni strani. Cene bodo zelo nizke in ne bom zaracunala postnine. Zacetek v nedeljo.

Trudim se objavljati enkrat tedensko.
Izrael je te dni ves rumen in vlazno vroc. Perila ne obesam zunaj, ker je takoj napraseno. Ko prizgem brisalce na avtu, me vzorec spominja na zasnezena slovenska jutra. Le zakaj mi ne zmrzujejo roke?
