While I am making some new clutches I can't stop myself of making some more tank tops for this hot summer. This animal print is especially close to my heart.
And, I bought this cool handmade stamp from Wit&whistle just to make the packaging of bags a bit more interesting.

sewing dresses

After I've made a dress for my Mika I decided to jump into sewing a dress for myself too. Summers are so hot here and you just want to go around with as breezy clothes as possible. Dani came with me to the yellow fields of wheat and barley where we took the photos for the workshop too.
I can't wait to make more of these dresses, playing with the length, maybe adding pockets and of course going wild in choosing the fabrics.

the garden

We did it. I am succeeding in keeping the Slovene tradition of keeping a vegetable garden in our yard. I am so proud of it. So far we eat lettuce and a bunch of different types of herbs, the tomatoes are in bloom and I feel closer to my roots.

Evo, uspeva mi! Uspeva mi vzdrzevati slovenske navade in obicaje! Zakolicili smo mali zelenjavni vrtek in stvari kar rastejo. Vsak dan si postrezem s skledo solate in opazujem kako paradajzu poganjajo novi in novi listki. Zalivamo pa tudi po moje setkrat vec kot doma v Sloveniji; tu je namrec ze pravo poletje.

Warm days are here, no doubt! My Mika loves dresses and I decided to make her a few out of some cute fabrics I've bought recently in Tel Aviv. It took me an hour to put it together and Mika loves it!
I used a pretty loose fit and added fun pleats in front. The best part is the fuchsia button in the back that adds a bit of a spark to the antique pink color of the fabric. For the next dress I plan to mix different fabrics for the bodice and the lower part and maybe make straps that can be tied together in a bow.
The pink and orange dinosaur is a project I made years ago; it's a huge stuffed toy that can be used as a comfy pillow or something to hug when you feel like. It was buried in a pile of other projects for some time now - but in these days since I was rearranging my studio (I have a whole new studio to show you!)  Mika dug it out - it's her favorite stuffed friend ever since.

Vroci dnevi so tu, ni dvoma! Moja Mikca ljubi obleke, zato sem se odlocila, da ji letos sesijem par taksnih iz raznovrstnega blaga, ki sem ga nedavno kupila v Tel Avivu.
Vzelo mi je kako uro casa; obleko sem ukrojila na bolj "loose" varianto, spravila skupaj par gub na sprednjem delu in najbolj fin je tisti fuksija gumb zadaj, ki doda malo barve in poskoka. Mika jo obozuje.
Za naslednjo obleko nacrtujem razlicne vrste blaga skupaj in mogoce naramnice, ki se zgoraj zavezejo v pentljo. Porocam.
Roza/oranzna dinozaverka/blazina/objemalnik je projekt, ki sem ga naredila leta nazaj. Te dni preurejam (pokazem kmalu) studio in Mika jo je privlekla iz kupa pozabljenih torbic in igrac - od tedaj je ne izpusti iz rok.

the amsterdam bag - workshop

Together with studio Crafty, we are happy to present this wonderful new workshop! It's a bicycle bag! And you can make it on your own. When you are riding your bike it sits on the back seat and when you arrive to your destination you just put the bag on your shoulder. So, a bag that is both practical and fun.
You can choose from a variety of colorful oil fabrics and tappets, so your bag will be the best match to your bike.
The workshop is taking place for the first time in Studio Crafty in Tel Aviv on the 9th of May at 18:00.

embroidery collection

... plus of course many hours of work and a pretty good and meticulous eyesight is what Tal needs to make this beautiful embroidery works. 

I met Tal one winter day, when she came to visit me in my studio. She brought her beautiful embroidery works and there was no question about starting to plan a project together. After thinking, planning and drawing, a small, limited collection of embroidered purses came out. A few of the purses are floral, inspired by Japanese embroidery, the others feature some of this seasons favorite symbols, such as flamingo and a spiky cactus and of course - a horse. 

All the purses are made out of natural fabrics, mostly linen. They are in a perfect size to fit your most cherished belongings, they fit a smartphone as well. Each purse has an option for a strap that can be detached or tucked in the inside of the bag when not needed.

You can find all the purses in my shop. Shipping in Israel is free of charge.

Tal is an amazing embroiderer, she is making very elaborate works that many times remind of Indian embroidery and mandalas, she also sews colorful quilts and by the sparkle in her eyes you can see immediately how much she loves what she does. I am so happy I met her, she opened a whole new world to me. Please make sure you check her facebook for photos of her work.

... וגם המון שעות עבודה וראיה מדוייקת ומלא מלא כשרון..זה מה שטל צריכה בשביל להכין את עבודת הרקמה המדהימה הזו.

פגשתי את טל כשבאה לבקר אצלי בסטודיו ביום חורפי אחד. היא הביאה איתה כמה דוגמאות של עבודות הרקמה שלה..ברגע שראיתי אותן לא היה ספק ששיתוף פעולה בנינו הוא רק עניין של זמן. אז ישבנו יחד..חשבנו, תכננו, ציירנו והנה זה לפניכם -  אוסף קטן וייחודי של ארנקי קלאצ' ברקמת יד!
הדגמים הפרחוניים בהשראת רקמת יד יפנית, בדגמים אחרים שאבנו השראה מסמלי העונה בטבע החופשי..פלמנגו יפהפה..קקטוס קוצני..וכמובן סוס דוהר!

הארנקים עשויים מחומרים טבעיים ובעיקר מבד פשתן. הגודל מתאים בדיוק לכל הדברים החשובים כשיוצאים מהבית. יש מספיק מקום גם לטלפון הנייד. לכל ארנק ניתן לחבר רצועה ולשאת כתיק צד קטן.
